We all have heard the wingnuts go after Sonia Sotomayor during the last few weeks, dating back before she was even nominated for the SCOTUS. We have all heard the charges...racist, she speaks illegal alien, she's part of the Latino KKK. Some comments are harmful, some are laughable, some are ignorant. Glenn Beck said it the best when he was on The View. He said he was a commentator, not a journalist. By saying that, he freed himself to say what he wants, does what he pleases, and therefore, people cannot hold him to the same standards of journalists. The same goes for Hannity, O'Reilly, Rush, etc...
Well, it is our job to fight back using logic and rational thought. The election of 2008 showed us that these two things DO have the ability to overcome fear and minimize it's affect on our decisions.
